Words are magical, so are teas... have you tried all kinds of tea? Me not, but I still believe in their magic. Have you used all of the words that are placed in a dictionary? Me not, but I still believe in their magic, magic to express deepest feelings and magic to express most complicated thoughts. Every language has its own flair.
My mother tongue has a flair word – đezva or džezva – no one really knows, no one really cares, is it more palatal or is it pronaunced more alveolar – who cares any way. Some linguists do, ordinary people don't. It is used for boiling smaller amounts of water, to prepare coffee usually, (at last we are coffee nation) but for tea as well. Tea is finding its place around that coffee that smells so nice in the morning early waking up everybody – drinking it or not.
Kettle (kuhalo) is nice, quick and handy but it doesn't have that flair. It doesn't have that important part in our imagination. Water cooked in đezva or džezva has a special taste. Long awaited, never done, spots to clean afterwords... but brings warmth to a heart. Water bubbling, steam coming up, being cautious of handilnig it carefully in order not to get burend, there is so much work with it... but we love it. Just like loose tea - it takes time, but it's appreciated more. More enjoyable. An individual being part of every step in tea making. It is easy to indentify with it and only tea made in đezva can express my deepest feelings for tea.
